Ciara's 7am on Sunday Musings
So that's why Team Warner has found a new place to live where baby gets to have,-gasp!!!- a nursery!! This new development happened in the last 48 hourrs, but leases have been signed and a two-bedroom apartment with a real dining room, laundry room and not teeny kitchen has our name on it. Its in a neighborhood very close to us called comically enough Beverly Hills Adjacent. So there's that. Its conveniently located near La Cienega Park, Nick's diner and one branch of our family friend's business (Geoff's favorite) Hoagies and Wings. We are excited and already on the move. We will be in it by next weekend and fully moved out of here by June 15, just in time for a visit from Geoff's mom Nancy and her husband Butch for our annual her birthday, their anniversary, mother/son and daughter-in law reunion. The house is located on South Bedford Ave..the address to come...
As far as babies in corners go, it turns out my parents neglected to set up my crib until we moved from NYC to LA to sign a record deal when I was 2. The fashionable alternatve was letting me sleep in a padded dresser drawer!! I tought this was "interesting" ( read...what were my well-educated non-hippy parent thinking!) when while giving my notice to Jenny Pachulski, our 80 some odd old current landlordess, she launched into a diatribe on the ridiculousness of modern baby care and how a padded dresser drawer was all that one needed. WARNING: this does not mean that I will be following this entire line advice and we still plan to have a registry that I am sad to admit will include a crib.
Stay tuned for Baby gender and 20 week detailed structural ultrasound results THIS friday! AND more pictures of our growing family (my belly).
PS: Today's picture is of an all fabric large scale portrait done of me 5 years ago by a friend and amazing artist based in Seattle, Margot Lovinger. This was one of two. One is owned by a collector out east, and after 5 years over her mantle-this one that I love- was sold to a collector in Northern California. Please check out her website: margotlovinger.com to see more of her great work.

Baby Warner is passing wellness tests with flying colors. The quad screen Alpha Fetal Protien (AFP) diagnostic tests came back all negative which is positive news for us. I have started to "feel" the baby which is an interesting and miraculous thing, As if some situation is occurring insode me but I cant see. It's like someone is playing a game where my eyes ar
e covered and they poke me and run away. As soon as something is happening, its over, and I sit there with one eyebrow raised, plotting to be more aware next time.
I have started the babies multilingual education. Yesterday in the bathtub I took the time to tell the baby about all of the family and friends who were awaiting the much anticipated arrival..but I had this whole seemigly one-sided conversation is Spanish. I feel that if the studies about voice recognitionin the womb are correct, we ought to maximize the exposure to our blended culture and various family histories from the very beginning. It was actually really peaceful because the whole conversation felt like that- a exchange between me and the person inside. NOT like a crazy woman having a conversation with herself in a bathtub.
The photo for today was taken of two beautiful Somalian Antelopes ( a couple it seems) that we saw at a recent "getting ready for parenthood" trip to the LA Zoo. We had an amazing time looking at all sorts of life forms. We were just very impressed with these two- although th baby giraffe was pretty impressive. Also impressive? Zoo french fries- you wont read that review in Zagat.
Thats the news of the day.
Peace and Love

Hello friends and family,
Here are some Week 17 picture updates of me, the baby and Geoff. I have given you "artistic versions" of my blooming belly in various states. This week I am feeling great, eating, cooking, and getting used to my new shape.
Geoff and are I getting things organized for the October arrival and enjoying our last months together sans our much awaited addition.
May 23rd at the anatomical scan we should be able to confirm that the little bean is indeed a girl as the doctor thought or if "new developments" have occurred. Either way we are excited and happy as can be.
Thank you for all of your love and support at this time! We appreciate you. Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers and mothers to be.
Love,
C & G
