Hello lovelies,

Here are some moments in the life of our leading lady. She in enjoying life, movement and anything she can touch or crawl to, She loves to practice standing up using anyone or anythingto help her. This is particularly funny while bathing or nursing- but don't tell HER that. She loves all the cute clothes that people give her- mostly dresses and stuff for outings, but these days she mostly wears footie pajamas for her endless naps and 11-12 hour nights or little bum covers so she can really move around without pants and dresses in her way.. This girl LOVES to move. She also loves all her new foods..since she started two months ago asparagus, avocado, mango, peaches, carrots, zucchini, sweet potato, pears, brown rice, oatmeal, prunes, peas and bananas have made their debut. Oddly she loves food as much as we do. Well, its friday, which is like a holiday for this family that loves to play together. So off the computer and into the livingroom. Love, and more soon.

Just taking a minute to say hello on this beautiful Easter Sunday. Here is Miss Charlotte and her dad, Miss Charlotte and her mum, Miss Charlotte visiting daddy at work on Good Friday, the eggs we dyed with a little help from Miss Charlotte for her 1st Easter. Next you can see film footage of her experimenting with sitting in her newly assembled high chair- it is pretty cute! She hasn't started solids yet but it could be any day now and we figured sitting in a chair AND eating probably takes some getting used to. Better that she flail and kick and dance while NOT eating a smashed avocado for the first time, maybe?? She turns 6 months old this week, half a whole year old and we honestly cannot believe it.

Ok, off to get ready to eat some ham, asparagus risotto and spring salad. Because Easter without ham is like Easter without Charlotte-impossible to imagine!! :)

My dear beloved friend MLQ pointed out this morning her initial confusion about why I would need help weighing myself. If only she were here and NOT miles away in Cairo, she might know the true answer to that question. But when she realized I was channeling Charlotte and NOT discussing my own battle with the scale, it certainly got me thinking about how happy I am even though I have never seen such disasterous digits haunting me from the seemingly harmless piece of glass that resides all to prominently in the bathroom of two previously vain weight-concious individuals. Not to say that we didn't pack Charlotte up in her new carrier so I could walk around the neighborhood bearing her newfound weight at 6 this morning, however, it is clear, in a way I would have ben lying about before, that though part of me yearns for the return of "The Other Bond Girl" most of me is posessed by the spirit of the bewitching little lady who discovers the world perched from my or her father's arms. Those arms may not be too happy about this year's sleeveless season, but alas, to have in exchange for some less than fab/fashionable months (not years I promise) this beam of hope and possibility for someone elses life, I am alright with what I weigh today in THIS universe.

NEWSFLASH!!!!!!!

Char-Lo 2.0

So today I weighed myself (with some help) while out shopping with mom and my friend Bobby for my new infant carrier when we decided that we hadn't weighed me for awhile. I TOLD mom that it would seem to me that we should see how things are going in my growth department. So guess what? I did something that YOU probably haven't done in a long time, nearly DOUBLED my birth weight..coming in at 7lbs 11 oz, shooting down to 7lbs 3oz and now up to a robust and healthy 14 lbs 9 oz..wheee! I don't remember changing that much since mid October 2008 but it turns out I have been busy getting bigger and learning lots of new things from high speed rollovers to sleeping in my own room! The look on my face says it all " I CANNOT believe I really weigh 14 lbs 9 oz" it's crazy pants. Anyway, while I "channel" this text to my mom via our shared ESP, in reality, I am in my room screaming because I am ready to get up and go shopping again- and make some new discoveries...Trader Joe's here we come! xo Char-Lo 2.0
